PMAD would like to announce the first of series of DOG AUCTIONS!!! Yes, you read correctly! We said DOG AUCTION! PMAD defines dog auctions a bit differently than the millers do....
Puppy mill dogs are not able to express themselves behind bars, shut away in barns and sheds. They have no voice or any way to tell us that they even exist. For some, they are rescued from that life and now live as loved family members. But what about the dogs they left behind? If your puppy mill survivor could speak our language would they tell us of their puppies and parents that are still waiting for a hero? Would they tell us about the horrific conditions in the barn and beg us to help the others? Now you can give your puppy mill survivor a voice to save those left behind.

PMAD defines dog auction as dogs helping dogs. That is why we call it a DOG AUCTION! Here is how it works:
- PMAD will host an evening auction where we will simulate the dog auctions that are happening around the US.
- At our auction, dogs will be paraded and admired on the stage, their story told and a framed painting that the dog has created (with his/her own paws) will be auctioned to the highest bidder.
- Each frame will also have the survivors story and picture on the back.
- All proceeds from the auction will go toward the fight against mills but most of all to raise awareness to the dogs left behind.
- Our auction will give the survivors the opportunity to express themselves and raise money to help the fight against the mills!
ABOUT THE EVENT: Our Friday night event is something totally new and should be lots of fun and hopefully a successful fundraiser. Many of you will be attending on Saturday with your puppy mill survivors and if you would like to participate in the event please let us know. As the weather gets warmer a little paw painting outside should make it easy on all concerned. Click here for painting tips!
Rescue Ink and Victoria Stillwel will be with us for Friday night as well as Saturday.
Please buy at ticket or two or ask your friends to buy a ticket, and join us for a night of laughing and crying, good friends and wonderful survivors, snacks and a cash bar. We have never asked before but this year we truly need your monetary support and we believe a fun event like our Dog Auction is just what is needed.
Please bring your pocket book and join us for PMAD's DOG AUCTION in Lancaster, PA on September 18th 2009.
Let's take the time to celebrate those that survived the puppy mills and give them a voice to tell their story.
Attire is festive! Cash bar.
