recent Tennessee Court ruling that was "worthy of a standing ovation."....

We applaud Judge Butts and agree that 'IF YOU NEED TO GROW SOMETHING TO
SELL IT, DON'T GROW ANIMALS, GROW VEGETABLES". Additionally, Judge Butts
comments that "If this is the way life is over the mountain, it's going to stop.
There is a way to treat animals and this isn't it". This
is a statement that gives
all of us hope.
Our award also goes to Honorable C. Roger McRae who handed
down the
original sentence of 145 days in jail with $4,500 in restitution and fines
Additionally, we acknowledge the hard work and tireless efforts of the the
SPCA
humane officers and the state dog warden who actually worked on this
case.
For all the people involved who we didn't mention. Awareness Day applauds
you.
