Awareness Day would like to present the Frisbee of Hope Award to...

Once in a while I get an email that trancends all others... When you think that no one cares and that
all you do falls on deaf ears.... well to read something this AWESOME makes you want to
share it with everyone!!! SO READ ON!!!

The latest Frisbee of Hope Goes to The Honorable Alan Glenn
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (USA) - Last week, The Commercial Appeal reported on a
> recent Tennessee Court ruling that was "worthy of a standing ovation."....

The entire story is here!

Honorable Nancy L. Butts, for sentencing Aaron Lapp to a prison sentence for animal cruelty in connection with this "factory for dogs"

We applaud Judge Butts and agree that 'IF YOU NEED TO GROW SOMETHING TO SELL IT, DON'T GROW ANIMALS, GROW VEGETABLES".  Additionally, Judge Butts comments that "If this is the way life is over the mountain, it's going to stop.
There is a way to treat animals and this isn't it".   This is a statement that gives all of us hope.

Our award also goes to Honorable C. Roger McRae who handed
down the original sentence of 145 days in jail with $4,500 in restitution and fines

Additionally, we acknowledge the hard work and tireless efforts of the the SPCA
humane officers and the state dog warden who actually worked on this case.

For all the people involved who we didn't mention. Awareness Day applauds you.

Also, we would like to recognize the Lewis Township Zoning Board in PA for
nixing Lewis Martins' kennel hearing.
